Reclaiming Their Time

No doubt you have heard the quote, seen the meme, or watched the video of a politician saying "reclaiming my time" repeatedly. But this is no political statement, reclaiming my time is what Roberts Rules of Order (a manual for parliamentary procedures) allows someone to say in order to reserve their speaking time during a session. Our 2023 Women's issue identifies four women who have decided not to relinquish their time, or their opportunities for change. You will meet women who have led the charge to change Howard County, support women, or uplift themselves from what could have been considered the end.
