Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sunday, December 1, 2019

Hello again,

Lately, I feel like I have super powers.

That's right, several times over these past few weeks just by visualizing an outcome I willed said outcome into being. Of course, this hasn't happened with my 100 million dollar trust fund yet, BUT I'm working on it.

What I mean to say is, I feel my world starting to align with my intentions. This alignment feels powerful and yet natural.

This feeling is in stark contrast to the one created by the mode of operating I've used up until now; plan every detail, architect each moment, then tighten as I hope it all unfolds according to plan.

Ahhhh... the feeling of thinking you're in control. There's nothing like it, am I right?

When I'm done putting a plan together in this way I can take a step back and see this THING I've created... in order to create.

The planning keeps me from actually DOING and CREATING. It keeps me from being present and open.

When I'm present and open, that's where I think life happens... or at least the type of life I want to lead.

BUT it's hard to be present and open. It requires a level of vulnerability, trust, and dare I say faith.

Worse, I've noticed that once I make it through to the other side of a "being present and open" experience, my sight has expanded and cleared. I understand more, which to me means I have to DO something with the new understanding.

In the pieces and parts that follow I try to do something with that something.

I hope you enjoy it.

Grappling with Worth, Community, and Gratitude – Las Cruces

It’s Thanksgiving here in the United States, but that doesn’t mean the learning and working stops! This week I share thoughts and feelings I’ve been having around self worth, experiments I’ve been conducting in meeting people IRL, and an immense amount of gratitude through it all. I hope this one brings a smile to your face.

Living that Conflicted Life – Las Cruces

I’m back in the United States and do I have some Field Notes to share. This week I talk about aligning with my beliefs as I travel from Mexico to the US, examining my values as I observe my inner conflict in regards to being back, and investigating my desire to hold myself back while pushing myself forward.

Jason Fried at Industry 2017. Hearing Jason's point of view on goal setting, I'm inspired to think differently about how far ahead I "plan".

The Nomadtopic Collective. This amazing group inspires me most every week, BUT these past weeks we held a 2020 dreaming and visualizing session which encouraged me to further develop my new perspective.

Hip-Hop Evolution on Netflix. Not only does this show feed my love of the genre, but watching how so many young people created an art form from nothing besides and undying passion to express themselves empowers me to stay on my own journey.
