Last weekend we hosted the 5th NomadMania Travel Awards in Bangkok as the culmination of the Extraordinary Travel Festival.

With a record amount of 250 travellers from around the globe for the 3-day event, there is simply too much to say, so we've published a full report.

Among the many things that we announced, the biggest focus was on developing our new app feature - Nomads Near Me & Around The World.

Now you can see the location of NomadMania travellers - approximated to 250 meters - if they (and you also) share … We believe this to be a game changer for us.

Scholarship Relaunch

During the awards we also relaunched our Scholarship Programme. We are awarding up to 3 scholarships of 1200 EUR each for travel abroad.

Our aim is to approach those in low income and lower-middle income countries who have the curiosity and desire to travel but haven’t had the ability to do so until now. 

Our Scholarship Committee, headed by our Best NomadMania Friend 2024 winner and UN Master Yui Pow Redford, and including members Cameron Mofid and Ed Hotchkiss, will be reviewing the applications and making the final decision on the applicants.

We ask all of you, whether you are in the countries involved or have contacts with them, to spread the word and ensure awareness about our scholarship programme.

More Trips & Events

Currently we are busy finalising a Calendar of our trips & events for 2025. 

Without any doubt the most anticipated is our Conference #5 in Fergana, Uzbekistan in May 2025 with over 70 registered participants already.

Some of the tours are already sold out, for example, East Africa, while for Central African Republic, we are now planning 3 departures. However, you can still join most others. See the tours page.

One of our most special trips is coming at the end of March, led by our Founder Harry Mitsidis – to the ancient Tibetan Kingdom of Upper Mustang.
