Introduction 

GNN radio ministry has been dedicated to broadcasting the gospel of Lord Jesus Christ to the remote mountain areas of Nepal. We are broadcasting our gospel program from 20 local radio stations in 18 districts of Nepal. Through our programs, we aim to reach those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to hear the good news. Our efforts have borne fruit, and we are pleased to share the progress in the past year.

Impact

Listener Engagement 

Over the past year, our radio programs have reached numerous listeners across various districts. The response has been overwhelmingly positive with many individuals, expressing interest, and seeking further understanding of the Christian faith.

Conversions and Leadership 

We are thrilled to report that 73 people have excepted Jesus Christ as their savior through our radio ministry. Among these new believers, some individuals have emerged as exceptional Christian leaders:

• Dikshya Bistha (From Dailekh) 

A 22 years old Miss Dikshya Bistha, a dedicated follower of Lord Jesus Christ, began her spiritual journey after listening to the gospel program through Radio Dhurbatara FM in Dailekh district for a year. Coming from a deeply Hindu family, she face significant opposition after deciding to follow the Lord of Jesus Christ, especially as she was financially dependent on her family for her education and living expenses.

Her faith grew while she was living away from her village for higher education, and despite persecution— ranging from threats by her family, financial struggles, to being shunned by her village— Dikshya stood firm in her belief in Christ. Even after facing physical violence, when trying to share the gospel with her family, she remains that vast, trusting and God strength to carry her through.

Dikshya worked in private bank for a few months to finance. Her studies in later became involved with a mission called “Great Comission, “ which focuses on sharing the gospel and raising leaders. Her preaching skills have touched many lives, helped around 12 people become followers of Jesus Christ and gave baptism to five people. She currently runs around for house, churches and different locations and continues to share the gospel in villages. In addition to her ministry work, she is pursuing her bachelors degree, now in her third year. Dikshya’s unwavering faith in leadership have made her shining example of Christian leadership, inspiring many through her testimony.

• Depika Dhami (From Darchula)

Miss Dipika Dhami, a 24-year-old from Darchula district of Nepal, has a remarkable story of faith and perseverance. Coming from a family with strong ancestral tradition of priesthood, serving various gods and goddesses, Dipika’s decision to follow Lord Jesus Christ was a bold and transformative one.

Her journey to faith began after listening to our GNN Radio Ministries gospel program on Radio Kalapani FM about 6 to 7 months. With the guidance of Pastor Prabajan Shahi, who helped her through repentance over the phone, Dipika excepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. This decision made her the first and only believer in her family, which subjected her to intense opposition in persecution from both her family and the local community.

Despite these challenges, Dipika has remained steadfast in her faith. She began sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and now works with a ministry called SOM  (Social Mobilization), dedicated to spreading the gospel. Over her two years as a believer, Dipika has helped around 15 people come to Christ. God continues to use her as a leader, and powering her to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Her and wavering faith and dedication have made her beacon of hope and inspiration in her community.

• Birkha Raj Joshi (From Bajhang) 

Mr. Birkha Raj Joshi, a 54-year-old from Bajhang district of Nepal, has displayed immense courage and faith and his journey to Jesus Christ. His story began in 2019 when he started listening to the GNN Radio Ministry’s gospel program. After a year of absorbing the teachings, he reached out to Pastor Prabajan Shahi, expressing a desire to meet in person. When Pastor Prabajan Shahi and his GNN team visited him, Birkha Raj made the life-changing decision to embrace the Christian faith.

Coming from a Brahmin family where he served as a priest performing religious rituals, his choice to follow Christ was not easy. Additionally, Birkha Raj Joshi is physically disabled, relying on the strength of his hands to walk, and dependent on his family for food and support. He knew that by choosing Christ, he risked, losing the backing of his family, yet he bravely embraced his new faith.

Today, Birkha Raj serves God as a pastor with the GNN team. He runs a house church and has personally helped five people come to Christ, continuing his journey of faith and service. Despite the many challenges he faces. His story is a powerful testament to the strength and belief and perseverance, in the face of adversity.

these leaders have been instrumental and spreading the gospel further and I’ve brought many more individuals to Christ through their dedication and testimony.

Future Plans

We are committed to continuing our mission of spreading the gospel in the mountain areas in Nepal. Our future plans include:

• Expanding our radio radio programs and local radio stations to reach more remote regions.
• Conducting more outreach missions to know the listeners view and their perception and also also to support and nurture new believers
• Organizing community events to strengthen the bonds among our listeners and new believers.
• Training and developing more Christian leaders to carry forward the vision and mission of GNN Ministry

Conclusion 

GNN Radio Ministry is grateful for the support and prayers from our GNN, USA family. The progress we have made in the past year is a testament to the power of of the gospel and the dedication of our team. We look forward to continuing our work and witnessing the trans-formative impact of the mountain areas of Nepal.
