Australian Employee Hospitalisation - Update 1

Dear HR Community,

I have an employee who is an Australian.

He has his own medical insurance purchased in Australia and would like to have operation in Australia because it will cover his full medical bill.

The existing company medical insurance will not be able to cover his full medical cost. If his operation in Australia and hospitalisation leave recognised in Singapore?

Is he also entitled to the full 60 days? What is the usual practice for this type of cases?

Whether or not the hospitalisation leave given in Australia is recognized or not, depends on your company. It is mandatory to acknowledge and provide if it is by our government doctors.
