Or, to those less fluent in Korean, Hello!

Welcome to the first November edition of the Atlantis Entertainment newsletter where you'll find a mixture of K-Pop and books. I am your MC, Ji Soo, and I will be guiding you through this month's fun.

A Ji Soo Update
ONYX: Unity / Cursed Luck
Release Schedule

The very first thing I want to do is thank everyone who bought a copy of Prophecy of Magic, shared a post, liked a post, or simply put up with me going on and on about it for months. You are rock stars!

Sadly, we didn't hit the USA Today bestseller list. I won't lie and say that wasn't disappointing - a lot of hard work went into that attempt. I had to put everything on hold, including my own writing.

But, I learned a hell of a lot in the process and met some amazing people, so I walk away with my head held high and maybe one day in the future, I'll try again. Maybe, one day in the future, people will love K-Pop as much as I do and I won't need to.

I can keep dreaming, right?

But seriously, i really do mean it, from the bottom of my heart, when I say thank you for your support and patience!

A Ji Soo Update

I covered the obvious of Cursed Luck not hitting the USAT Bestseller, and that's been a huge chunk of my life that it seems odd to be able to write about anything else, especially because everything else feels like bad news to me.

Life in the UK has been hard - and cold. This Texan girl misses the heat of Texas. I also miss my family. It's hard being so far away from them. Even though I didn't live at home and in a hotel like I do now, at least they were in the same city. It's a bit harder when you're in a different timezone to stay in touch. I'm slowly adapting to the UK and the very strange things are not so strange anymore. I mean, I still give people an answer when I'm asked if I'm "alright" - for those who are just as confused as I was, "You alright?" and "Are you OK?" are not questions - they're greetings. Or they're greetings 90% of the time and when you give an answer, you get very strange looks.

Also, just throwing this out there - how can a place so small (I am not kidding when I say Texas is THREE times the size of the UK) have so many accents???

Moving on - ONYX: Unity is live and (finally) free in Kindle Unlimited. It is not the last in the series like I thought it would be. It seems those Onyx boys have more to say...

My next project... Well... I have three on the go. Two are in the plotting stage. OK, let me start again, but with names before this gets confusing.

Stolen Luck is book 2 in the Goddess of Fate & Destiny series. The first book, Cursed Luck, was in the POM boxed set, and will be released as a solo title on December 2nd. If you didn't pick it up in the boxed set, CL and I have decided we will be doing a pre-order price of 99c if you want this. The price will be going up to $2.99 on December 9th. There will be a paperback version available. But this was about Stolen Luck - we're both plotting this out so we can separate out chapters. We had hoped to have this out in December, and we're going to try for that, but it might be January, depending on our editor's availability.

(S)he's All Theirs - this is the book I am creating with my FB group. I actually have a cover that is being finalized! I'm in the beginning process of this, naming characters with my group. This doesn't have a set release date. I'm working on it in my spare time.

But that's where my email subject comes from. Someone posted in my group that ONYX: Unity was able to give her a few hours break from that Monsta X situation, and aside from making me cry, it also got me thinking, Could writing a book mend a broken heart?

And then comes the third project. I'm sure people are expecting this to be the fifth Onyx book, but it's not. The truth is, right now, I can't write this book. I sat at my laptop last night and tried. Instead, I cried. And by cried, I mean I bawled my eyes out. I can't actually write this without being brief, so forgive me. If you know nothing about K-Pop, you might not understand me, and that's OK. But as I'm sure you're all aware, I am a Monbebe. Last week, Wonho left. There is a hell of a lot more to it than that, but I physically can't write it. Let's just say my heart is broken (which is probably nothing compared to how they feel, which breaks my heart all over again). If you've been in my group, you will know that I've always said Wonho was my visual inspiration for Xiao. Their characters aren't alike. And by now, in my head, if you were to put Xiao and Wonho together, they don't look the same - it's hard to explain. But it gets me thinking about Wonho and I just can't write that story. I will finish Onyx. I just need a little bit of time. And please understand if I don't respond to any questions about Monsta X for a while.

Instead, I started another book. To be fair, it was the one I was going to start after Zodiac 4, but the Monsta X situation has also made me mad. Last night, I wrote the first chapter of the first book in the Sovereign series. It's going to be dark - it always was going to be. Because this series is my pent up frustration about the 'dark side' of the K-Pop industry. Monsta X, Pentagon, INX, iKON, The East Light - and a whole other list of groups and idols who have been hurt by the industry. My book won't fix them or the situation, but it might help with my broken heart.

What do you think? Am I crazy? Probably. But I guess I need to do this.

But don't worry - my co-author will kick my ass if I don't write Stolen Luck, and I promised Zodiac 4 - that will come. I'm excited about writing Hyunseo's story.

ONYX: Unity
Release date: October 29th
ONYX: Unity

First comes love, second comes scandal, third comes a secret which could end it all...

The scandal with Kate and Jiwon has left Onyx in such a precarious position that Korean fans are picketing the dorms. While Atlantis is backing the group, it's not without changes: a second photographer who doesn't know about Kate's dating secret.

Hiding their relationship from the world seems like the easiest thing to Onyx, but with the world tour continuing, and even more attention on them then before, they've got their work cut out.

At least, for now, Kate, Youngbin, Xiao, Jiwon, JongB, MinMin and CX have each other. Except one of them is hiding one last secret.

The kind of secret which could finally undo all the hard work and destroy everyone's dreams...

The kind of secret that is life-changing...

The kind of secret that will make or break the relationship...

ONYX: Unity is the fourth book in a Why Choose fast-burn romance and ends in a HFN. This book contains strong language, sexual situations, some MFM, and one member who likes to watch... If none of that is your thing, you should probably spare yourself and not read this.

The fate of an unknown world lies inside her…

  • Screwing up an interview: Check.
  • Late for class and missing an exam: Check.
  • Chased by monsters for a magic inside of me that has the power to tip a battle between gods and demons either way and potentially destroy humanity in the process: Check.

I didn't think my run of bad luck could get any worse.

Then I get caught up in a spell gone wrong and now I have the magic of Luck bonded to me.

Let’s let that irony sink in…

Now, I have demons with no eyes and no mouths hunting me, trying to get Luck out of me - and they don't care if they drain all my blood to do so.

Oh, yeah... Demons – apparently, they exist.

And so do gods.

I can't work out if my luck has taken a turn for the better or if it has gotten much worse, because I've got three gods claiming they're the guardians of the magic inside me, and until that magic is gone, they my guardians too. They’re sexy as hell, and as attracted to me as I am to them but that could be because of magic.

Good luck? Bad luck? It’s time to start making my own luck.
Cursed Luck is the first book in the Goddess of Fate and Destiny series. This is a medium-build RH novel, meaning the FMC won't choose just one guy - she will choose all of them!

The Goddess of Fate & Destiny series will contain sex, swearing, a smart-ass squirrel shifter, some MFM scenes, and might be more suitable for an 18+ audience. While the series will end on a HEA, there may be cliff-hangers and HFN endings.

Please note, Cursed Luck was previously available in the Prophecy of Magic Collection.

Hunted: A Reverse Harem Shifter Romance (The Feral Souls Trilogy - Book 1)

The only way to escape is to die.

For eighteen years I’ve suffered at the hands of the Hunters. For eighteen years they’ve done their best to break me, to tear me open and unleash the terrifying monster that lives within.

Until the day they go too far.

When a desperate escape leads to another brush with death, I’m forced to place my trust in the hands of four formidable strangers. Wild and untamed, their feral natures call to me, their warrior hearts make mine come alive. And when they offer me a place to stay while I heal, I can’t say no.

But the secrets I carry are deadly, and my past is a twisted, evil nightmare better left forgotten.

They may think they want to know me, they may think the secrets they guard behind hard eyes and closed expressions comes close to the ones I keep. But should they ever discover just who they’ve let into their home, just what I really am...their hatred could be the one thing that finally breaks me.

And if I break, the darkness inside me will finally be free.
