SUBJECT: Information on the transition to Kuali Research on 4/25/22
FROM: Laura Johnston
TO: SPA News Listserv
Next week is our last week with Kuali Coeus (KC) as we transition to the upgraded version in Kuali Research (KR) on the weekend of April 23 & 24. As we prepare for the upgrade we’d like to remind campus about MSU’s Proposal Deadline Policy and encourage users to submit proposals on-time (i.e. three full business days in advance of the deadline), in order to avoid any issues that could potentially arise with the transition.
Disruption to Kuali Research: During the transition, Kuali Coeus will go off-line beginning at 8am on Saturday, April 23rd and Kuali Research will come on-line at 5pm on Sunday, April 24th. Please plan in advance for this disruption in service.
What data is converting to Kuali Research: All data from Kuali Coeus will transition to Kuali Research, regardless of status (e.g. in progress, saved, routing, final).
Communication to faculty: On April 8th a communication was sent to faculty and staff who had completed a financial conflict of interest disclosure within KC in the past two years, informing them of the upcoming transition to Kuali Research and the new COI module. A follow-up reminder email will be sent to this group late next week.
