Welcome to February's edition of Love & Light. February is a very special month, in which we have our first in-person National event, the National Office Bearers' and Active Workers' Conference on the theme 'Rejoice in His Omnipresence'. An opportunity for Office Bearers and Active Workers from across the United Kingdom to come together and work together on the way forward. The day will be filled with workshops, interactive sessions, musical offerings, lunch, as well inspiring talks including from our guest speaker, Mr Nimish Pandya, Vice Chairperson of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, who will be giving his talk from India.

We look forward to hearing from Centres and Groups who are already open or planning to open up when they find it safe to do so. I look forward to sharing some key outputs from the Conference in next month's edition of Love & Light.

I pray to our Dearest Lord that we take every opportunity to Rejoice in His Omnipresence.

This Shivaratri is a day when one tries to establish friendship between mind and God. Shivaratri makes one aware of the fact that the same Divinity is all-pervasive and is to be found everywhere. It is said that Shiva lives in Kailasa. But where is Kailasa? Kailasa is our own joy, our own bliss. It means that Eashwara lives in the Kailasa of delight. If we can develop that sense of joy and delight in our mind, that itself is Kailasa. How can one get this joy? It comes when we develop purity and steadiness and sacredness. Then the heart becomes filled with peace and bliss. Then your heart itself will be Kailasa and Shiva will be there in the sanctum sanctorum of your heart, within the temple which is your body.

Please contact the organisers of any in-person event in advance to ensure you are able to comply with any requirements prior to attending, so as to avoid disappointment.

The first Bal Vikas (SSE) training session of the year is being planned for Saturday 19 March, as an online event.

It is Foundation Level training, which introduces participants to the basics of Bal Vikas, including an in-depth look at each of the five teaching techniques. The session also covers the personal responsibilities of Bal Vikas Gurus, so that they never complain, nor merely explain, but inspire!

This training session is suitable for all new and would-be Gurus. It is also suitable for anyone who wishes to understand more about Bal Vikas. It is equally useful for experienced Gurus, as a refresher of key principles.
