Registration for the Spring 2023 semester at Chipola College is now open for all new and currently enrolled students. Spring classes begin on Monday, Jan. 9.

The schedule features traditional face-to-face and online classes. Students may register in person with a college advisor, or online at my.chipola.edu if they meet certain requirements.

Multiple Scholarships Available

The Chipola Foundation is accepting applications for several scholarships for the Spring 2023 semester. Including the McLendon, the First Generation, the Florida Blue & Allied Health and the Sydney Holland scholarships.

Chipola's TSIC Earns Gold

Chipola College’s Take Stock in Children (TSIC) program has garnered the Take Stock Luminary Award and Gold Level of Excellence. This is the third consecutive year the local TSIC program led by Student Services & Mentor Coordinator Debra Perdue has received the Gold Level and second consecutive year they have received the Luminary Award.

Mercer is Chipola Employee of The Month

Sheila Mercer is Chipola College’s Career Employee for November. Sheila Mercer serves as Coordinator of Student Accounts and has worked at the college since 2000. Pictured from left, are: Chipola President, Dr. Sarah Clemmons and Sheila Mercer.

McInnis is Top Chipola Employee

Kurt McInnis has been selected for the Chipola Faculty/Administrator/Other Professional Award of the month for November. McInnis serves as an Assistant Professor in English and has worked at the college since 2012. Pictured from left, are: Chipola President, Dr. Sarah Clemmons and Kurt McInnis.

Brain Bowl Wins Korray-Shelton Tournament

The Chipola A team narrowly defeated Chipola B to claim the Korray-Shelton Tournament . Chipola A finished the tournament with an 8-0 record, while Chipola B finished 6-2, losing both games against Chipola A. The tournament had a small field of only 8 teams this year.

BSU Wins Talent Competition

Two members of the Chipola College Black Student Union (BSU) won the Talent Competition at the FAASA Conference held on (November 3- November 6) at St. Petersburg College – Clearwater Campus.

Charlotte Franklin won 1^st Place for her original poem and Chris Brockington won 2^nd Place for singing a song.

Let’s Learn Spanish Workshop

Chipola's Spanish Culture Club (SCA) will host a let’s Learn Spanish Workshop on Tuesday, November 29 in Bld. D109 from, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Come and learn conversational Spanish. This event is open to everyone! Join SCA Today!

TRiO Supports Ronald McDonald

Chipola TRiO Society provides support to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida by donating pop tabs you pull to open soda, soup and other aluminum cans.

Garcia Memorial Scholarship

The family of Landon Garcia established a scholarship in his memory through the Chipola College Foundation. The scholarship will be awarded in June 2023 and applications will be available beginning in March 2023.

#6 Indians move to 6-0 with 85-57 win over South Georgia Tech

The #6 Chipola Indians moved to 6-0 on the season after a dismantling of South Georgia Tech at The Milt on Tuesday evening. Six different players scored in double-digits, led by sophomore Deyton Albury with 15, in the 85-57 win.

Baez picks up back-to-back FCSAA/Region VIII POTW Awards

For the second consecutive week, sophomore guard, Ashley Baez, has been named the FCSAA/Region VIII Player of the Week. In the Lady Indians 87-46 win over Central Georgia Tech, Baez scored 22 despite hitting just 2-of-12 from three-point range.
