I am not a patient person. Particularly when I’ve paid for a service and the company is dragging its collective feet, behind, and every other body part. Grrr.

The company is PGE (Pacific Gas & Electric). I opened a Work Order with them in February and have jumped through numerous hoops and paid out painful gobs of money to have a new power pole installed on our property so our main house and ADU (Additional Dwelling Unit) might have individual monthly bills.

So simple…and yet…nothing has happened. Which means, as the property owner, we are tethered in place until this job is completed. Apparently, PGE doesn’t care that it’s summer and we have a new RV to break in OR that my loyal readers are eagerly awaiting photos of our next travels. Humph.

But the lack of forward momentum has given me time to work on my writing projects:

1. SECONDHAND HEARTS - my five-book series of second chances.

Update: Book 1 — HIS OR HER BABY— is available for pre-order and I still have openings on my review team if you’re not signed up (email “Review Team” to debsalonen@gmail.com). 

Every review team member will receive a Secondhand Hearts bookmark (due to arrive any day), which includes all five covers (even though I’ll be doing individual “Cover Reveals” as release dates near).

2. I’m midway through Book 2: RUNAWAY GIRLFRIEND.

3. NEW. NEW. NEW.

Our group KICKSTARTER project is in full swing. This is something completely new for all of the seven authors involved. We’ve done Amazon boxsets together in the past, but KICKSTARTER is different.

I’m having fun doing memes and trailers. Here are my latest.

I just finished reading The SEAL’s Secret Baby by Rogenna Brewer and I highly recommend. As I told her, I didn’t always like her protagonists, but, man, did I come to love them in the end—and isn’t that what makes a book so juicy and delicious?
