The GSS Graduate Coaching program aims to equip graduate students with frameworks and tools to enhance leadership communication. Through practice, in and outside of the classroom, participants will develop a ‘coach approach’ and learn to incorporate these skills into their everyday conversations with peers and colleagues.

Interested in learning Mandarin Chinese, the most spoken language in the world with 918 million native speakers, but not sure where to start? Join us for this 6-week beginner conversational class and learn together in a small group setting with other like-minded participants. 

The BGSN invites all Black grad students to start off the new school year with an evening of fun and some lighthearted competition! Refreshments will be provided and there are raffle prizes to be won!

The Housing Security Aid (HSA), is a newly approved fund provided by the GSS specifically to cover housing-related challenges. The purpose of the HSA is to provide housing related support to graduate students who are facing housing insecurity or challenges.

Funding examples:

• Rent/Security deposit assistance (including rent increases by landlord)
• Moving-related expenses
• Assistance with temporary accommodations
• Assistance with replacement of damaged items in the student’s units which could necessitate fines by landlord
