Here is our Hope Village June 2022 Newsletter. We hope you enjoy it!

Help us celebrate your contribution to Hope Village. We have been featuring our volunteers and supporters on our facebook page either on their birthday, graduation, or their anniversary (any special event is worth celebrating with you!). It’s a fun way to recognize the good each of you are doing for our community. It’s a great witness to others that a helping hand is good for our community. WWIB is hosting Hope Village at their first Parking Lot Picnic of the year. WWIB has been so generous towards us over the years. The parking lot picnic will have a tiny house on display, there will be food trucks, blow up toys for the kiddos, and great music. Join us on Thursday, June 23^rd from 11AM-7PM

Hope Village just became the newest Chippewa Falls Area Chamber Of Commerce Member! We are planning a Ground Breaking Ceremony in mid July – Watch our Facebook Page for more information.

Hope Village has developed a relationship with Caring Transitions – Caring Transitions help our neighbors take the next steps when it is time to downsize or move into a senior living complex. They hold Estate Sales weekly. We have partnered with them to help them dispose of their unsold items. The items that aren’t taken home during a weekend sale are still useful. We can use some of the items to restock our tiny houses, some items can be stored and then used by our guest when they move into their new apartments – and some we will be able to sell to help fund our services. Thank you to Roger Liddle – for connecting with us. Give him a call if you are in need for the services Caring Transitions provides.

ReSale Team - Our ReSale team is ramping up – We have partnered with Caring Transitions, we are looking for a trailer to make picking up donations easier and we NEED more volunteers to pick up items, prepare them for sale and to deliver to Sold4U or post items online. Please let us know if this might be something you would enjoy helping with!

We just had a great fundraiser hosted by our friends at Sunnydaze! Sunnydaze held a two day sale of all of the items in their warehouse and donated over $1500 to Hope Village. Thank you to everyone at Sunnydaze. Check their other sales out here.

Jessica Oleson Bue, one of Hope Village’s board members, and the Director of the Chippewa County Housing Authority, recently received the United Way Senn Award! Congrats Jessica

Capital Campaign Update – we are moving through the various phases of our Capital Campaign. We recently finished up our precampaign phase and took all of the materials created during it and sent them out to individuals, clubs, churches and businesses for validation.

Our public phase will kick off on Thursday, October 6^th – it will be held at the Heyde Center and we hope you will join us!

OneFest is an annual three-day Christian music festival held in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It’s a time to connect with family and friends, and connect with the body of Christ. OneFest features many of today’s well-known artists on two different stages. Hope Village is one of Onefest’s featured organizations!

Hope Village is creating a Construction Committee to help advise and oversee our future rental unit development. If you have experience in developing or constructing multi-family housing units please consider joining us! We could use your expertise.
