Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
Due to high interest in the 2021 National Tribal Broadband Summit the Department of the Interior (DOI) has increased their virtual capacity to accommodate 300 more registrants. The purpose of this Summit is to provide a platform for Tribal Leaders and technical experts across the broadband ecosystem to share best practices, new ideas, and lessons learned from their real-world experience to bring broadband service to our communities.
This Friday, September 24th, at 12:00pm ET DOI Secretary Deb Haaland will provide opening remarks. She’ll be followed by Tracy Goodluck, Policy Advisor for Native Affairs at the White House Domestic Policy Council, Acting Chair Jessica Rosenworcel of the Federal Communications Commission, and Chief Recovery Officer Jacob Leibenluft at the Department of the Treasury. There will also be breakout sessions focused on broadband adoption by Tribal schools and in areas of natural resource management. The Summit is also scheduled to continue on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00pm ET.
