one6G is pleased to highlight the IEEE Communications Standards Magazine special issue, “Empowering Robotics With 6G: Connectivity, Intelligence, and Beyond.” Guest-edited by Mona Ghassemian, Kaspar Althoefer, Aryan Kaushik, Mahdi Tavakoli, Douwe Dresscher, and Xueli An, this publication captures the rapidly emerging convergence of 6G and robotics. The insights shared within it align closely with one6G’s ongoing focus on advancing 6G capabilities for robotic systems and future autonomous services.

The 19th International Workshop on Networked Robotics and Communication Systems (NetRobiCS 2026) successfully concluded in Tokyo, Japan, with the one6G Association serving as a key technical sponsor. Held as part of the IEEE INFOCOM 2026 conference, the workshop gathered the world’s leading researchers to tackle the “communication bottleneck” in modern robotics.

Following the successful conclusion of the European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2026, one6G and euRobotics are pleased to release a new highlight video capturing the critical discussions from Workshop 47: 6G Empowering Future Multipurpose Robotics.

The video features a diverse group of experts from the telecommunications and robotics sectors, emphasizing a shared mission: the necessity of deep, cross-sector collaboration to inform the next generation of technology standards.

one6G Open Lecture 12 titled Experimental Technologies for 6G: Toward Network Intelligence, took place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, addressing the critical transition from theoretical 6G visions to concrete technology verification. The session explored how the industry is validating the breakthroughs that will make the future world more programmable, sensed, and connected.

The joint one6G and euRobotics white paper, “6G Architectural Foundations and AI-Native Solutions for Future Connected Robotics,” was successfully presented at the Global 6G Conference on April 22, 2026, in Nanjing, China.

Recently released under the framework of ERF 2026, the white paper was introduced by Professor Dejan Vukobratovic (University of Novi Sad) during his keynote at the AI-Native and Autonomous 6G Systems Forum. The work was further explored in an extended session at the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) workshop, fostering deep engagement with stakeholders from both research and industry.
