Message from Rev. Aileen

Parker Palmer writes, "Wholeness does not mean perfection: it means embracing brokenness as an integral part of life." We are all works in progress. When we look at what it means to live a life of integrity, we find that we may sometimes fall short of our ideal. Our society makes it difficult when we feel forced to enact integrity different in different parts of our lives. We may hold ourselves to a certain standard in our personal lives but in our professional lives, where competition is the rule and the financial bottom drives the way we do business, we can sometimes feel that our integrity can be and is compromised. But we try. We embrace our brokenness and know deep down we have the potential to be whole.
