The Michigan Crossroads Council recently launched a new website for potential Scouting parents and families. The new site is part of our strategic membership and recruitment campaign to explain the values and benefits when participating in Scouting.

The new website is not (1) a replacement for michiganscouting.org, or (2) a place to find information about events or activities. The site was developed based on questions and information parents want to know before joining.

We encourage to visit and share with non-Scouting friends, neighbors and co-workers.

The Rendezvous in the D exists to unite the Scouting community for a weekend that energizes and excites attendees through world class programs, exhibits, activities, and shows.

Your Cub Scouts and families will have the opportunity to experience hands-on high-adventure programs, games, exhibits, camping, and arena shows. For many Scouts, this will be the mountain-top experience.

Be sure to visit the MCC Online Shop for all your Scouting needs including patches, advancements, and uniforms. Order online from the convenience of your home or office. Most in-stock items ships to you in two to three days.

Effective September 1, 2024, Scouting’s Shooting Sports programs within all programs including Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouting will be referred to as Range and Target Activities.

Note: As a reminder, the updated Cub Scout program effective June 1, 2024 includes elective adventures versus awards for Cub Scouts. These elective adventures can still only be offered at an accredited camp program (day camp, short-term camp, long-term camp) or a council organized one day event. 

In addition, effective September 1, 2024, the following changes will affect the range and target activities within Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouting. All other current Scouting range and target activities policies as indicated in the National Shooting Sports Manual remain unchanged and must be followed. These changes will be reflected in the National Shooting Sports Manual on September 1, 2024 and will be updated periodically.

New this year! All five camps have some June and August dates available.

• Camp Rotary, Camp Teetonkah, Cole Canoe Base and D-Bar-A have the first two weekends in June and the last two weekends in August.
• Gerber Scout Reservation has the entire month of June — every day of the week! Gerber also has the last two weekends in August

Weekend bookings are Friday night – Sunday morning. Must book at least three days prior to the event.
