Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The USET Community Resilience Program, within the Office of Environmental Resource Management, is seeking a Tribal Nation host for the upcoming 2026 USET Community Resilience Workshop, a 3-day in-person event.
This retreat will bring together Tribal Nation staff and community members from across the USET region, focusing on their communities' resilience and adaptation successes and vulnerabilities. The event will offer opportunities for networking, and tailored, content-specific presentations. USET Community Resilience Program staff and facilitators from partner organizations will be on-site to support attendees in advancing their work on these critical initiatives.
We request that the host Tribal Nation:
- Collaborate with USET staff to select an agreeable timeframe for the event in 2026, preferably late June through August.
- Identify a venue that can comfortably host approximately 25 participants for 3-4 full days (venue costs to be covered by USET);
- Suggest speakers that could share about local environmental or cultural work;
- If possible, coordinate a short field trip(s) to active climate resilience or land stewardship project(s) that the Tribal Nation is conducting or supporting (USET can cover trip costs).
If your Tribal Nation may be interested in hosting the 2026 USET Community Resilience Workshop, please reach out to Breanna Knudsen, Community Resilience Program Manager at bknudsen@usetinc.org.
We look forward to hearing from you!
