Well, one meteor for me. Which is one more than I usually manage to see. It was a big one, too. Happy dance on the back deck!
THOSE people who managed to get the Perseids AND the aurora borealis? Please. That's just greedy. :) Check out the Friends' post on the unexpected addition to the scheduled meteor program at the park on Monday night.
And Art Rayba got a surprise on his simple night fishing outing.
Hope you managed to catch at least one falling star - and that your recovery from Debby is progressing, even complete. While the northern tier seems to have borne the brunt of the impacts (and the videos were distressing), even the CapCity region was hit harder than I realized. We in the Laurels were lucky, receiving only much needed rain.
Anyway, yes, it's a two-fer on the masthead. Not only couldn't I choose my favorite but we'll be on hiatus here at Fridays next week as our annual board retreat is happening in that self-same northern tier. Our accommodations at the Susquehannock Lodge are intact (glad for Carol and Ed) and we are looking forward learning about the projects at Denton Hill and Cherry Springs and seeing the new visitor center at Leonard Harrison.
