Or, to those less fluent in Korean, Hello!

Welcome to the second December edition of the Atlantis Entertainment newsletter where you'll find a mixture of K-Pop and books. I am your MC, Ji Soo, and I will be guiding you through this month's fun.

A Year at Atlantis

I can't believe that a year has passed. Technically, my first book, The Idol Who Became Her World, was released at the end of November, so this thirteen months at Atlantis, but I'll let that slide...

Gosh, this year has been so fun. And I owe that all to you. I remember having this crazy idea about writing K-pop books about eighteen months ago, and wondering if anyone would ever read them, much less K-pop reverse harem. I still get asked what K-pop is, but you guys are reading them, and despite being an author, I don't have the words to describe how amazing that feels, nor how truly grateful I am for that.

In the last thirteen months I have published eleven books (and if you look at the newsletter banner, that looks pretty amazing - I hope that's not just me!). I've attempted (and sadly failed) a USA Today bestseller run, I've dipped my toes into paranormal romance, and I've started a You Choose Why Choose reverse harem. (And I stuck Stolen Luck on there because it balanced it out nicely, but we will have finished writing it just after Christmas.

Things did not go to plan this year - Onyx was supposed to be a trilogy... I have no regrets. I also desperately wanted The Leader Who Fell From The Sky to be out this month and I sadly haven't started writing it. I also considered the H3RO trilogy to be complete, but as the timeline in the Atlantis Universe went on, there will be more books. And all this was done with a move across the ocean where I've been homesick. And cold.

But, still, no regrets - and that's the best you can hope for, right?

So what about 2020?

Well, if you've seen my post on Facebook, you will have seen that I won't be writing as many books. Part of this is because they (mainly the characters) take on a life of their own as I write, and while i do have a plot and we (the characters and I), do seem to follow it, they always seem to take longer and become bigger books than planned. So, in 202, I will be focusing on a few core books, and if I get the opportunity to write more, I will.

First up on the list is finishing Stolen Luck, although this will be done for Christmas. And that's exactly what I will be doing once I've sent this newsletter before my co-author kills me. She has the patience of a saint considering she's always waiting on me, but in my defense, I'm about to write a MFM scene... (ooops, spoiler... #sorrynotsorry)

Once I've wrapped Stolen Luck up, I'm moving onto The Leader Who Fell From The Sky. It's this book and the next one which I've been really looking forward to writing in this series, and I can't wait to see how Hyunseo's story will unfold. I mean, I have this plotted like a beast, but I fully accept Hyunseo and Hanna to take control and throw me some curve balls.

The rest of 2020 will bring the final two books in the Goddess of Fate & Destiny series, Onyx: Forever (I really don't want to write this one. It will be the last, and I know it will be the last so I don't want to let go of it), the next book in the H3RO series, Idol Threats (which I'm  really looking forward to writing because I've missed my H3RO men). This one will be available in the Wicked Souls Collection, so if you don't want to wait until 2021 to read it, you will want to grab that now.

And for now, that's it.I will be working on another collaborative series with Serenity, but we won't be touching that until the end of the year and that's a 2021 project (I can't believe I'm discussing 2021!!), but it will involve the gumiho - the Korean kitsune.

Ji Soo's Group of the Month

I wondered which group I should pick for this newsletter. Honestly, I was going to spam you with Monsta X, but I want to be able to share so many groups with you, especially for those of you that are new to K-pop, so that you all might find a group I love as much as these guys.

But it's also Christmas, and surely I should share a Christmas song with you?

So I decided to go for something extra special. I avoided using a Starship Christmas song to get a sneaky Monsta X in, and decided to go for this classic from JYP.

And by classic, I mean this is the 2010 Christmas special. As in so classic it's pre GOT7, Day6 and Twice. Some of you should recognize 2PM and Miss A, but also in the mix are some of the JYP veteran groups (I can't believe I'm calling them that) - some of whom are still going, and some are sadly not, like 2AM, San E (OK he went solo), and Wonder Girls.

(Anyone seeing a pattern with names).

BUT, because it's Christmas, I wanted to share with you something special. Something quintessentially K-pop. Admittedly, it is something you will either love or hate, but I do hope you love this...

Mr JYP himself, Park Jin Young / Jinyoung Park, J. Y. P - the owner of JYP Nation and JYP Entertainment. And, one of the stars of Dream High.

And because of that, I had to share this...

Now, yes, the video is a little bit cringe - there's a lot of ass. Which is why this will be, as the British say, 'Marmite' (I'm learning!), meaning you're either going to love it or hate it.

But this is the wonderful 'Who's your mama?' by J. Y. Park ft Jessi

Stolen Luck

With the magic of Luck still inside her, Kia’s heading straight to Hell…

Considering I still have the magic of Luck inside of me and my father, the Prince of the Gods, is trying to kill me for it, you’d think daddy issues were worst of my problems.

You’d be wrong.

The grandfather I’ve yet to meet is trapped in the Dark World, surrounded by demons, and it’s up to me and three guardian gods to rescue him.

Jae, Song and Gun have promised me they’re going to do everything they can to protect me. Something inside me keeps telling me to trust them, but it's the same thing that's telling me I'm supposed to be with them, and that could be Luck.

But then again, the other help is coming from Key. A fallen god – that makes him a demon in my eyes. And considering he dated one, and is possibly still pining for her, he’s not exactly on the top of my list for trusting either.

Heavenly attractions, demonic dangers, and a birthright that’s put a target on my back: I’m going to need some of this stolen Luck to help me with this one.
