Welcome to the latest installment of The Digital Writer newsletter.

I used to put a lot of time and energy into going to public events. I am not saying that I enjoyed going out in public, but it was a great way to meet new clients.

But then COVID-19 happened, and everything got canceled.

Many events are being moved online, and others are being launched.  This newsletter is going to focus on the growing number of online events you can attend virtually.

Oh, and while we are on the topic of online events, I am going to be talking to Draft2Digital next week about websites.  Join us on Facebook on Monday at 1pm eastern for an interview, followed by a Q&A. If you'll bring your questions, I'll bring my answers!

Groups

For starters, I want to bring your attention to the Writer's League of Texas. This group hasn't announced a conference, but they do have free webinars and AMAs about once every other week.

Speaking of which, the author group ALLi also has free online events about once every other week.

And finally, Sisters in Crime organizes free webinars for  ts members. (I do not beleive you have to be a member to watch them, but I could be wrong.)

If you know of other groups with a strong online presence, please let me know!

Online Conferences

While I am sure there are many more groups organizing free webinars that I haven't found yet, I have found a number of online conferences.

Some of these events are still being planned, so details are still scare.

I specialize in fighting with tech support so you don't have to, so let me use what I have learned to keep your website up and running.
