Issue 81- October 9, 2020

Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to this week's episode of, "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

This week I've been mostly continuing on with my big (seemingly never ending) housecleaning venture, and gearing up for some new client projects (which I am super grateful for). I have additionally been keeping up with my daily art challenge (*feel free to follow the hashtag #ArtoberWithE on instagram --if you're interested to see what I have been making). The profile feature this week was in ode to my re-found love for Tres Leches Cake (we won't talk about how many slices I have had this month).

Anyway...Sending you lots of love, hugs, and good vibes amongst all of the madness!!!

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy

(mentally & physically) out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Kalon (n): the ideal of both physical and moral beauty especially as conceived by the philosophers of classical Greece; beauty being more than skin deep

  • ADVICE: “The day you plant a seed is not the day you eat the fruit." - Anonymous

  • MOOD MUSIC: Earlier this summer, I stumbled on this great instrumental cover that Cedar Walton did of one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs, "Another Star". This week I have been listening to it on repeat.

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: I binge watched the series, "Modern Love" on Amazon Prime this week, and was totally all in my feels. If you like movies like "Love Actually," you'll definitely appreciate this little 8 episode series. It gives mini glimpses into the different ranges and tales of love within a life.

  • THE MORE YOU KNOW: Did you know that this week was Mental Illness Awareness week? And, that tomorrow, October 10th, is actually World Mental Health Day? I'm sharing some resources and campaigns here and here that may be of interest if you would like to learn more.

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: Looking to freshen up your meal options for the fall? Here are 15 meals you can make in 15 minutes that you may find helpful. Let me know if you discover a winner!

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: Seeing the snippet instagram post of Kallayah Jones doing a happy dance after she found out she got a job (when she thought no one was watching) made my heart smile the other day. Hearing, and learning a little more of her back story touched my spirit even more. I wish her many more moments of happiness and success in life. This was definitely a moment of joy we all needed to see.

May we all be grateful for those priceless "good friends" in our lives.

This week's challenge is to reach out to one of your "good friends" and let them know how much you appreciate them!

I will be taking a bit of a mini pause on my community activations as I gear up for some new projects that will taking up a lot more of my bandwidth. But, be on the lookout for some (very sporadic) events here and there. (As doing these events, and sharing in community really does bring me joy.)

And, if you haven't heard me say it lately, I want to thank you for your support and readership. It means a lot that you take time out of your day to take in my  little musings and life shares!

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways.
