Thank you so much for your continued prayers for our family. We couldn't be here at Missionary Acres without you, and we greatly appreciate you.
As a family, we regularly pray for you. If you have any specific prayer requests, please hit reply and let us know. We'd love to pray for you today.
Missionary Acres Update
A new family recently arrived at Missionary Acres! We're so thankful that they made it here safely. Please pray for them as they'll be in temporary housing for a while, and as we've learned over the past nine months, that has a unique set of challenges.
Another one of our residents is currently in the hospital. We'd appreciate your prayers for health, safety, and strength for all of the dear saints here.
We have several workgroups scheduled over the summer, and we've been blessed by having some individuals and couples come and volunteer recently as well. We're very thankful for each one who arrives. There's a lot of work to be done, and many hands can accomplish so much.
Tanner Family Update
It's been a busy month for our family.
With the garage conversion nearing completion, we were able to get our belongings out of the girls' room in the main part of the house and pile everything into the boys' room and office in the former garage. That way, we could get the old windows in the girls' room swapped out and get the carpet in.
Unfortunately, when we started moving things, we saw something unusual on the boxes. A closer investigation revealed that over the winter, mice had found their way into the house and into all of our things.
Praise God, these mice weren't like the ones we dealt with before back in Washington that loved to eat papers and books. These mice preferred clothes and blankets.
So while we lost some items to their chewing and waste, it definitely could have been much worse.
We got that all cleaned up and think we've found (and sealed) the entrance into the home the little critters were using. We're now using some pest-remediation techniques so hopefully, they won't return.
As far as the house goes, it's definitely been a slow process. We had no idea we'd still be in a tiny trailer almost 11 months after moving to Missouri. We're all eager for the project to come to an end so we can sit down together at a table for a meal. That's definitely something we've been missing since the table in this house only seats six and there's no room for another one.
Thankfully, the painting is done except for one bedroom. And the flooring in the main part of the house is going down. Though there's still a lot on the to-do list, progress is being made.
And we are so thankful for God's goodness to us through all of us. He truly does lead us day by day, and the knowledge that we can trust in His timing helps us on the days when we're feeling discouraged.
Jayme successfully completed her first year at the College of the Ozarks and is working in the stained glass and candle shop for the summer - a job she is very excited about.
Lots of painting has been completed in our future home recently. It's nice to see the bright colors on the walls.
The Langdon family safely arrived at Missionary Acres.
The kids are making friends in the area and have the opportunity to play with several other kids after church.
Ezra is beginning to sleep through the night more consistently.
For the insurance to approve the new formula the nutritionist recommended for Owen’s supplement. We're still waiting on authorization, so we're thankful we're still able to get his old kind in the meantime.
That our family would grow closer to God and continue to grow spiritually. Bryson, our five-year-old, has been asking more questions about God and Heaven and Hell, so please pray for him.
For salvation for our children who are not yet saved.
That God would raise our support to 100% so we can get officially cleared for service here at the Acres.
For work on our house to get completed quickly so we could move out of this temporary home.
For the health and strength of the dear saints here at Missionary Acres.
For Mrs. Weinberg, a dear family friend and mentor back home in Washington, who is now receiving Hospice care.
Bryan has been learning how to lay tile.
Ron Hemsworth has been working on our main floor, and we had new septic tanks delivered this past week.
