The parking lot reconstruction is nearing completion! We want to thank all the contractors who worked so hard to restore it. The sheer volume of equipment on site in the above video is impressive in itself. We thank God for allowing us to pursue this project because of your generous stewardship. Please consider the following:

• If you have pledged and are able to accelerate your giving, our goal would be to have another $150,000 in our capital campaign account so we don’t need to “borrow” from ourselves when the bill comes due in June.

• If you haven’t yet invested in the Welcome Home! Campaign, it is one way that we can strive together to excel in the grace of giving. By the end of our campaign we are praying for 185 individuals/families to participate financially in this project.

As Christians we are often encouraged to be “in the world, but not of the world.” This simple phrase reflects the truth that we are to be physically present in the world, but that we are not to participate in the principles of the world. Unfortunately, the principles of the world are not as easily discernible as they once were… and yet they are still just as damaging and destructive. The world desperately wants to call these principles wisdom, when in reality they are the exact opposite!

So what are these so-called words of wisdom from the world? And how do they compare to the truth of Scripture? Come and find out this Sunday at 10am as we kick off Summer with our brand new sermon series!

Next Sunday, kick off Summer by joining the families of Rush Creek at Whistlestop Park on June 11 immediately following the service. Picnic at the Park will continue every 2nd & 4th Sunday during the months of June-August (weather permitting). Bring your lunch and enjoy some great fellowship and fresh air! June 11th is the last day to sign up for the Parent/Child Dedication on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18. If your family would like to participate, please call the church office at 616-583-7600 or email jessica@rushcreekbc.org.

The RushMen leadership team is challenging all of our men to participate in an Intentional Discipleship Relationship over the Summer. If you would like to be in such a relationship, but do not have someone to do it with, fill out this survey and we will try to connect you with another man from Rush Creek who is looking for the same thing.

If you are already in an intentional relationship with another man (or men), we would like to know. You can let us know by clicking on this “Report” button and sending us the details so that we can better guide our men’s ministry.
