One in five Europeans are exposed to dangerous noise levels. Increasing noise pollution and its impact on health drive the need for better sound insulation at homes or workplaces, particularly in urban areas. Therefore the acoustic performance of windows and doors has a significant role in reducing noise levels within a building.

Recently our Arctic system products including Tilt before Turn window, Free combination window, and single sash outside opening Terrace doors have been laboratory tested on their acoustic performance.

Results indicate the sound reduction index (Rw) can reach up to 36 dB (with standard glass). This is approx. 80% higher Rw compared with an old window with a single glazing¹.
