The Washington State Department of Transportation is implementing a new Small & Veteran’s Enforceable Goals program intended to increase Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise participation on construction projects.
In order to be considered, your business must be registered with Washington's Electronic Business Solution (WEBS) as one of the following:
Veteran Owned Business
OMWBE certification alone will not grant you access to this program. However, you can display your OMWBE certification badge in WEBS for greater visibility.
To register, visit the WEBS Portal and click 'Register Now' to get started.
Get notified about bidding opportunities. When you register with Washington's Electronic Business Solution, you can turn on alerts to get bid notifications for the products and services your business provides.
Tag your business as OMWBE Certified. Contract specialists seeking diverse vendor options are searching for businesses like yours. Make sure they can find you in WEBS as well as our Certified Firm Directory.
Use the Small Business designation. To register as a Small Business in WEBS, all you need to do is verify the following details.
Fewer than 50 employees
Business located in Washington State
Gross annual revenue of less than seven million dollars
The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is hosting a Procurement Policy Workshop on Thursday, June 3rd. This is your opportunity to provide feedback while the new Supplier Diversity policy is in draft phase. Your feedback will help shape the resulting policy, related procedure, and training. Questions will be taken from small, veteran, minority, and women vendors first.
This week is Small Business Week, and we want to take the opportunity to say Thank You! to all of the small businesses we have the pleasure of serving at OMWBE. Entrepreneurs are essential for a healthy economy, and your contributions as citizens and employers are invaluable.
