Autumn brings music gigs & socially-distanced cinema.

Thanks to all of you who have supported The Beehive over the summer. We've got some cracking music gigs coming up between now and Christmas. In addition, we have extended our commitment to socially-distanced seating for cinema so check out what's coming up and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Phil Beer Solo Show

Fri 17 Sep 7.30pm £17
(socially-distanced seating)

Charming, disarming and exceptionally talented, multi-instrumentalist Phil Beer is something of a national treasure on the folk, roots and acoustic scene.

Alongside some Show of Hands classics, Phil will deliver his signature interpretation of much-loved folk and rock songs alongside a wealth of brand-new material - and there’ll be the odd laugh thrown in for good measure.

Our Ladies (15)

Fri 24 Sep 7.30pm £7.50/£6.50 (socially-distanced seating)

A group of Catholic school girls get an opportunity to go into Edinburgh for a choir competition, but they're more interested in drinking and partying than winning the competition. This is a boisterous comedy of schoolgirl errors, set in 1996 "before social media and mobile phones changed everything forever".

"What's ultimately so joyous about Our Ladies is all the small ways they rebel against their circumstances - while the world wants them to focus on the destination of their lives, they've chosen to revel in the journey."  The Independent

Sound of the Sirens

Sat 25 Sep 8pm £12

Sound of the Sirens are Exeter-based acoustic singer-songwriting duo Abbe Martin & Hannah Wood. They combine agile guitar-playing, soaring harmonies & lyrical, heartfelt songwriting to make lushly melodic music. The pairs’ musical and vocal dexterity dovetail beautifully on the co-written songs, which range from beautiful, emotive ballads to upbeat, foot-stomping, hands in the air, sing-along anthems.

Their musical creations translate well onto recorded media but it is in the live arena where the girls truly excel. The onstage chemistry, camaraderie and banter is worth the ticket price alone. We can't wait to welcome them back to The Beehive!

But as his wife, Allison, struggles to adapt, and the promise of a lucrative new beginning starts to unravel, the couple has to face the unwelcome truths lying beneath the surface of their marriage.

"The Nest has the trappings of a haunted-house movie but delivers something much scarier - the slow death of a marriage, performed to perfection by Jude Law and Carrie Coon." Empire Magazine
