Trace your toddler’s hands and feet, both left and right, on paper plates using three plates for each hand and foot. Spread the plates with her hand and footprints randomly across the floor and secure them with Prestik or masking tape. Instruct her to bear walk using the plates to guide her on where to position her hands and feet. She must plan each movement thoroughly to make sure that she places her foot or hand on a corresponding plate. This activity requires a great deal of planning and bilateral integration, as both feet and hands must work together. |
