THE ALUMNAE CHRONICLE
WEEK OF SERVICE

Registration for Alpha Delta Pi’s first Week of Service is now open! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), we are asking alumnae to choose one day between October 26th and November 2nd to give back. Whether you give to RMHC or volunteer for another organization within your community, we are asking all alumnae to participate!

Many Alumnae Associations have planned Week of Service events and posted them on the ADPi website. Click here for more information and to register for an event. If you don’t find one in your area, contact your local Alumnae Association or submit your own event that others may join.

NPC'S BE BOLD SERIES

Like Alpha Delta Pi, National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) believes that women are the future. As champions of advancing sorority, NPC has developed free educational videos to empower women of all ages to be their most authentic selves. The Be Bold series is applicable for collegiate members, advisors, alumnae or even to be used in business settings because of its great conversation starters:

  • Activities and people that make you feel confident.
  • Resiliency.
  • Shining the light on other women.
  • Under, over and authentic confidence.
  • Imposter phenomenon and effortless perfectionism.
  • Body language.
  • Being radically unfinished.
ALUMNAE FACEBOOK GROUP

The Alumnae Resource Directors and Executive Office staff are excited to introduce the new Alumnae Facebook Group. The goal of this community is to build a network of ADPi alumnae from all chapters to share resources and opportunities. In order to meet this goal, it is important for members to follow the Alumnae Facebook Group Guidelines. Please take the time to read them, as there is a password at the bottom of the document that allows you into the group. We are very excited to build this community as a place for meaningful updates, news, and connection.

As you request to join, you will be asked the password which can be found in the guidelines linked above. Please allow for a few days for review, as we are processing a high volume of requests. Thank you!

#STOPTHEHAZING

National Hazing Prevention Week, September 23-27, is less than two weeks away, and we encourage you to participate in our #StoptheHazing campaign! Alpha Delta Pi, Sigma Chi Fraternity, and the Max Gruver Foundation have partnered to spread awareness of the dangers of hazing. Please consider updating your Facebook profile picture and share the Stop the Hazing video on your social media channels. Together with the Gruvers, Alpha Delta Pi and Sigma Chi can stop the hazing culture in our society. #StoptheHazing #FlyHighMax

WAS YOUR CHAPTER HOUSE HAUNTED?

It’s never too early to be thinking about Halloween! This year, we’re putting together a list of spooky stories for a special October blog post. If you have something worth sharing, email the story and a photo of your chapter house/facility to Multimedia Marketing Coordinator Hannah Peterson.

The Balfour Fellowships are an interfraternal scholarship for fraternity/sorority members enrolled full-time in graduate or professional schools, given by the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence.
