World Championship Majorettes Sport and World Majorettes Cup Ostrava 2024, thanks

The 11th World Majorette Championship and the 5th Majorette Cup are a thing of the past. Both competitions were held with the financial support of the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Ostrava City Hall, under the auspices of the Mayor of Ostrava, Mr. Jan Dohnal, and the Deputy Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Mr. Jaroslav Kania.

Ostrava is a statutory, regional, and university city near the border with Poland. It is located at the confluence of the Odra, Opava, Ostravice, and Lučina rivers. Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic by population and area, the second largest in Moravia, and the largest city in Czech Silesia. This year, it welcomed majorettes to the most modern athletics hall in the Czech Republic.

The number 11 is one of the three championship numbers in numerology and it can be said with humility that the 11th year fulfilled the expectations of all participants, organizers and organizers. This year is marked by the Summer Olympic Games full of amazing sports performances. The athletic hall was also filled with great sports performances, for four days it came alive with youth, dance, music, joy of success. The entire world championship was about preparing and watching your charges, your children and your favorites.

Over the four competition days, more than two thousand competitors from Europe and Asia presented themselves, in more than 80 competition disciplines in five age categories.

The recording of the world championship was made and broadcast by Czech Television – ČT sport, the live broadcast online on the website ifms-majorettes.com was watched by thousands of domestic and foreign fans of majorette sport.

Good starts, sporting successes, joy from movement, new friendships and spectator experiences were the attributes of the competition days.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who was involved in the preparations and organization or who financially supported the championship. Admiration goes to all the competitors who made it to the championship.

We would like to thank the spectators for their support and creating a competitive atmosphere.

Hopefully we will all meet in health and competitive mood in 2025.

Majorette Instructor III. Class, License C

Completing the training is a basic prerequisite for successful work as a majorette team coach. The Federation is supportive in this regard and, in cooperation with the Faculty of Physical Culture of the University of Olomouc, allows you to obtain comprehensive information in both theoretical and practical areas. After completing the training, the applicant is equipped not only for the work of a coach, but also for solving, for example, cooperation with the parents of majorettes, solving relationship and social problems between majorettes, etc.

The training is taught in Czech, it is understandable for applicants from Slovakia, others can participate with an interpreter. Teaching in English is possible, but it is financially demanding.

The conditions for inclusion in the program are the same for all applicants who:
• lead, plan and evaluate the preparation of majorettes in the club
• have reached the age of 17
• have completed assistant practice, at least 3 years (confirmed by the club)
• complete the training provided by the Federation
