Friends Autumn Book Sale

Join us for the Friends Autumn Sale Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 at the Mount Prospect Public Library. Shop for great deals on books, music, movies, audiobooks, games, and more. You'll love the great selection of items for children, teens, and adults, including thousands of books, CDs, and DVDs for only 25¢.

Tell your friends and neighbors. Bring the whole family. This will be our last two-day multi-room sale of the year, so don't miss out!

Book Sale Volunteers Needed

Do you want to support the library, meet new people, and have fun doing it? Then, sign up to volunteer at the next Friends book sale!

We are looking for people to help set up the book sale in the afternoon and early evening on October 21, and cashier, assist customers, and take down the book sale on October 22 & 23. You can volunteer to do as little or as much as you want.

Are the Friends accepting donations? +

Yes! The Friends gladly accept gently used books, movies, music, audiobooks, and games. Donations should be placed in the black bins outside the Friends Room door, next to the elevator, on the library lower level. Are donations tax-deductible? +

Yes! Donations are tax-deductible because the Friends are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We can provide a receipt for your donation, but are unable to assist in determining the value of donated items.

How do I renew my Friends membership? +

Friends membership is not required to attend the book sale, but a membership is a great way to support the Friends. We will be sending an update soon with changes to our membership benefits and instructions for how to renew your membership online for all who are interested.
