Dorothy Hoffner, a lifelong Chicago resident, completed a skydive Oct. 4 at Skydive Chicago Sunday in Ottawa, Ill.
When Dorothy jumped from a plane roughly 10,000 feet off the ground, she topped the world record set in 2022 by a 103-year-old woman from Sweden.
In fact, Dorothy didn't start skydiving until she was 100 years old. “Skydiving is a wonderful experience, and it’s nothing to be afraid of. Just do it," she told WMAQ-TV.
