But there's also a giveaway, so not all is gloom & doom!

Release Day: Dark Fates

This is without a doubt the weirdest release day email I've sent out in my entire career.

The Dark Fates boxed set is now live... But not on all platforms.

As all of you who had pre-ordered the set already know, Amazon messed up big time and sent out a placeholder file instead of the actual book. We're working with them now to resolve the issue, but so far they don't have the slightest idea as to why their computers picked up the wrong file (although, as far as I know, our case isn't the only one that ran into this problem in the past month).

I have to stress that this is something that's completely out of our hands, and all we can do is apologize for the delay.

Those of you who received the false file will get the right one when Amazon fixes their mistake, but in the meantime, I would like to invite you all to grab a copy of Dark fates for only 99c on any of the other major vendors:

iBOOKS
NOOK
KOBO
AMAZON

(Yes, I threw that Amazon link in there hoping that when some of you open this email, the book will already be live. And yes, that's probably just wishful thinking, but what the heck.)

Let me also use this opportunity to say that I regularly buy copies from iBooks or Kobo and simply convert them into the format my e-reader accepts with the help of this amazing free program called Calibre.

Not only does it do the job exceptionally well, but since keeping all books on my device can be chaotic at times, Calibre's library gives me a nice overview of the titles I already own. In case you have never come across this piece of software before, I really can't recommend it highly enough.

Right, so once again, I kindly invite you to shop on any of the other vendors, and, remember, the 99c price point will last only until the end of the week!

What I'm up to:

The biggest update I wanted to share with you is without a doubt about Windstorm, my upcoming July release.

I'm halfway through the first round of edits right now, and I must admit that working on this book is a treat! While the all the titles in the Black Werewolves series are predominantly urban fantasy with paranormal romance subplots, Windstorm is the opposite.

And when you throw a half-demon, half-witch and a Fae into the mix, things only get better and better :)

The other thing I wanted to share with you is perhaps more of a reminder, although it does include an update.

March truly is Manuscript Madness Month for me since Windstorm isn't the only title I'm working on. The Bird, the third and final installment in The Iron Head Trilogy is nearing the end of the edits. So in light of that, I wanted to remind you that you still have time to pre-order The Heart before it releases on April 18th, be among the first to receive a copy and save $2 while you're at it.

Now let's move on to the featured giveaway, shall we?
