Hello Friends!

Happy Friday! "Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This week has been a more laid back week. I have been mostly focused on house cleaning/ organization/ winter purging. However, I did venture out to go to a networking event focused on social impact, had a little fun at the ABC studios, and went to see the Macy's Santa Clause during some down time while I was in the city (don't judge me on the latter---I only did it because I was cold, and needed somewhere to go in between events 😂). Additionally, I randomly ran into Elaine Welteroth in the street and got to thank her for writing the book that I am still reading ("More Than Enough").

Be sure to check out my pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week---I try to post some of my randomness there.

Have an AMAZING weekend and week next week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Unencumbered (adjective) Not having any burden or impediment

  • ADVICE:  "Where our treasure is governs our heart.” — A note from last Sunday's sermon

  • MOOD MUSIC: This week's music mood is another timeless classic, Bruce Hornsby and The Range's "The Way It Is".

  • RANDOM RECOMMENDATION: If you're looking for some interesting podcasts to add to your queue, you may find THIS "Best of 2019" list to be handy.

  • SOMETHING TO TRY:  A while back I remember hearing about the whole Cotton Candy Grape craze- but, I had forgotten about them (because I could never find them). However, I was recently reminded about them from a friend who has become obsessed. So, now I am determined to find and try them myself. HERE is some information on their origin, and where you can find them in your neck of the woods. (And, it looks like the company has even more interesting flavored grapes to boot!) Let me know if you try them!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: If you're anything like me, you may like to keep an old school paper planner in addition to your "digital one" to help you stay organized. Here's A LIST of some of the best ones to get you on the right path for 2020.

  • FEEL GOOD STORY: If THIS STORY of Michael Orlando Clark inviting his whole kindergarten class to his adoption doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will!

The act and focus of daily gratitude is so important in life. Especially, during those times when you may feel that you have a weighted spirit. When you sit and really think, you realize that there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. I loved coming across this simple definition of gratitude this week, and thought I would share it---"Gratitude is the appreciation of what is valuable and meaningful to oneself and represents a general state of thankfulness and/or appreciation.” – Randy A. Sansone, MD and Lori A. Sansone, MD

As we begin to round out the end of this year (and decade), I encourage you to think and reflect upon those people, moments, spaces, and things in your life in which you are grateful.

This week's challenge is simple- yet, powerful. Before you start (or end) your day, take a few moments and list five things you are grateful for.

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!
