Hi Everyone,
Many of you have asked about the availability of the second book in The Able Archers series, The Righteous Arrows. My literary agent is pitching it to several publishers and there is interest, but no deal has been struck yet. The Righteous Arrows has Kevin Cattani taking on a new mission in East Germany just a few months after the conclusion of The Able Archers. The main action of the new book, however, concerns the Soviet War in Afghanistan in its most bloody year—1986. Once again, Kevin Cattani and Ivan Levchenko are the main characters. This time, a favorite of many readers—the red-haired major—has a much larger role than he played in The Able Archers. I will keep you posted about the publication schedule!
Recently, I was interviewed by BBC2 television for their documentary series Spy Wars, hosted by Damien Lewis. I’ll provide more details as they become available.
I also will be appearing in a new Netflix eight-part “Turning Point” documentary series on the Cold War. One of the episodes will focus on the 1983 nuclear war crisis and I will be one of the talking heads for that episode. The folks at Netflix hope to air this new series before the end of 2023.
I have created a new presentation on the facts behind The Able Archers, which I have given to several large groups this winter in Sarasota to great acclaim. This week, I will be giving the presentation to the Florida chapters of the Air and Space Force Association.
If you know of any audiences who might like to hear this important Cold War story that has great resonance to today’s current events, please let me know at my author’s email address at brian@brianjmorra.com.
I have appeared on several additional podcasts and radio shows since my last newsletter. They are posted here on my website. Please remember to provide a review on Amazon or BN.com, if you haven’t done so, and if you have—thanks!
