After the last two years, it’s a pleasure hearing from our travel partners that their tours are filled with guests who can’t wait to explore Provence. Mid-June in southern France feels like standing at the starting line for a road race. It’s the moment in time when the lavender is about to burst into bloom, the cicadas are beginning to chant, and temperatures are starting to rise. Then, once the high season arrives, it’s a full-on sprint for the next few months for those in the hospitality and entertainment industries.
The official start of summer is June 20th, so please watch for our season menu curated by the talented Emma Kershaw. She is a wine expert, instructor, gourmet cook and author of two cookbooks. On June 21st, music fills town streets and city squares for the annual Festival de Music. The list of summer festivals in the region is extensive; there is jazz, photography, opera, ballet, music in the vines and much more. Please look at our seasonal activities and festivals list here.
