This is an opportunity for creative and enthusiastic community members to join the Panida team and help to guarantee that the Panida Theater remains a unique, historic, and art-deco venue for generations to come. Here, live concerts, classic and current movies, local and touring theatrical productions, and community arts organizations will continue to flourish.
By giving time and energy Board members help grow a nurturing environment. Here children learn to creatively cooperate in productions that build memories, pride, and skills. On the Panida’s stage children of Sandpoint have gone on to be nationally known artists. For decades well-known performers have filled our auditorium with applause.
Those of you who serve on the Panida Board in 2022 and beyond will be party to decisions that will affect the arts community in Sandpoint for decades to come. You will be part of the 100-year anniversary celebration of the Panida, scheduled for 2027, and part of a history that the future will celebrate. Fiber optics connecting art theaters across the world, new digital technology, coupled with creative restoration techniques will insure that the Panida remains a historic gem, drawing great performers and patrons, not just from North Idaho but from the entire Northwest.
Your excitement, time, and energy will provide the leadership needed to make a lasting contribution to future generations of North Idaho citizens.

The Panida Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Veronica Lynn Knowlton has been hired as the Managing Director of the Panida Theater. Veronica has previously held positions as marketing + special programs manager at the North Idaho State Fair and fair operations supervisor at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in California.
A "Meet and Greet" will take place at the Panida Annual Membership meeting, date to be determined.

JOB OPENING AT PANIDA THEATER
JOB TITLE: Technical and Maintenance Coordinator POSITION TYPE: 30 or more hours per week (depending upon event schedule) PAY $20 per hour REPORTS TO: Managing Director
The Technical and Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the Theater’s technical systems and overall maintenance. This position includes both the main theater and the Little Theater. Along with the Managing Director (MD), the Technical and Maintenance Coordinator will assist in the management of event operations and logistics.
The major job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform/supervise repairs, installations, and planning for the various technical systems (including, but not limited to, the HVAC systems, the plumbing/electrical systems, house & lighting systems, stage maintenance and operation, and sound systems)
Operate sound and lighting for all theater events
Collaborate with the technical teams of performers
Manage and oversee the Facilities staff
Maintain an accurate record of maintenance and repairs with a monthly report of the facilities to the MD
Assist MD in all areas of event/program booking and scheduling, including event coverage, promotion, and management
Maintain relevant inventory
Demonstrate web development skills
Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment
Provide attentive, friendly, and accurate customer service
Anticipate, evaluate, and problem-solve technical issues as they arise
Keep close contact with MD and provide all necessary information
Is present or has another suitable staff member at all performances to coordinate, troubleshoot, and meet the technical maintenance issues that may arise at performances or films
Additional tasks as deemed necessary by MD
