As an author, I didn't get much done in the past month. And by "not much," I really mean nothing. Nada. Zip. I wrote zero things.
I had a good excuse, though. I got married to my love, the best woman ever, on the 17th. And much of the summer was devoted to planning and executing a big, fun, hippie-dippy, tree-hugger wedding out in the country. We had it all. A huge tent. A big jam session in which I got to jam with all my musician friends, and my dad, too. Tons of amazing food. A bar with instruction cards for people to make their own cool cocktails.
Oh, and about a hundred-something of the very coolest people in the world. (Yeah, not ALL the coolest. Some of them are doubtlessly reading this email right now.)
Anyway, it was a whole lot to take on, and a big step in life, and I was a bit too overwhelmed to sit down and write. But as exhausting as it all was, it was a great month, and I'm very glad about all of it.
And I'm totally ready to get back to work!
