Greetings everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying the autumn weather! I for one am very glad to be past that heat wave last week.

This week I have a new blog post and quiz on my website - all about how to decide between a round rib silhouette or a conical rib silhouette for your first or next corset.

Is there a story behind this?

Well, I love teal and I wear a lot of it. My childhood bedroom was this shade of teal (with peach accents). The only reason why my website colors do not incorporate teal is because it reminded me too much of Windows 95.

Here's a picture of the swatch I chose, just in case the product photos look too bright under the studio lighting.

~Floral Shimmer in Sepia~

This is the perfect muted palette for fall - the photos do not do it justice. It literally gleams and shimmers, as though it was rubbed with 24k gold leaf!

Did you know that Dr. Rebecca Gibson contributed to Solaced?

Rebecca Gibson wrote story #23: "The Corseted Bioanthropologist" on page 104 of the paperback

She discusses her experience with hypermobility and how her ribs have easily, spontaneously, and painfully dislocated from a young age. Wearing corsets prevents these dislocations, and help with pain management. She discusses her career in bioanthropology and what it's like to straddle a seemingly double-life of wearing modern corsetry and its potential benefits in her personal life, with studying historical corsetry and its potential harms in her professional life.

It's a fascinating read, and although I'm not supposed to have favorites, Dr. Gibson's testimony is one of my favorites.
