To Our BB Community,

As we begin to reopen with BC’s Restart Plan and guidelines from Worksafe BC, we’ll evaluate if we feel comfortable reopening our studio safely. We believe in the positive impact of exercise on our mental wellbeing and our immune systems but plan to take our time to carve out the best possible process to ensure that it continues to be a safe place for our clients, trainers and client care team. As soon as we do, we will notify each and every one of you.

In the meantime, we have rolled out a preliminary plan, outlined below, of taking the cleanliness of our studio and the health and safety of our community to an even higher level. We will constantly be fine-tuning and updating our procedures and protocol for these measures and welcome any input you may have.

THE NEW PROCESS
FOR FITNESS AND SAFETY
Powerful Disinfectant and Frequent Cleaning

The studio will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day by a full time cleaner and from top to bottom each night by evening cleaners. Every high touch surface will be sanitized with a high-level disinfectant — doorknobs, handles, railings, light switches, sanitizing stations, lockers, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, benches, front desk, keyboards, computers, phones and fitness equipment.

Hygiene

Hand sanitizers will be located throughout the studio. Please sanitize or wash your hands before and after your training session.

COMING SOON: More touchless hand sanitizer stations with a higher alcohol concentration.

Trainers and Client Care Team Face Masks & Gloves

Trainers and client care team will be required to wear gloves and masks.

Trainers and Client Care Team Health Check

Every trainer and client care team member will be pre-screened for health assessment and will have their temperature checked before they begin work.

High-Touch Amenities and Congregated Areas

We are removing complimentary newspapers, magazines, coffee, tea, lemon water, mints, snacks, razors, q-tips, hair bands, tampons, mouthwash, phone chargers to limit hand-to-hand contact and the lounge area to limit congregation.

We are also removing some equipment to allow for more space.

Client Care Team and Safety

Your client care team is here to help — at a distance! We put a protocol in place that will limit our team from leaving the front desk, aside from helping you navigate the new process.

Cancel Sessions By Deadline

In order to allow as many of you as possible to participate in a training session, the 24 hour cancellation policy will be strictly enforced. Please remember to cancel within 24 hours to avoid charges.

Social Distancing Practices

To help maintain social distancing, floor markers will indicate a safe distance at entrance way, washroom, on the floor while training and direction of travel. Each trainer will have their own socially distant “pod.”

Each pod will be well-marked and contain sanitized equipment for your session and a sanitized tray for your keys and wallet.

To avoid the top of the hour cross-over, each session will be 50m. If you arrive early, please wait in your car. You must leave promptly at the 50m mark to allow time for the trainer to sanitize their station and equipment, wash their hands and be ready for their next client.

Each trainer will provide verbal cues only for form and technique in order to minimize any physical contact.

Locker rooms will be unavailable for changing. Please arrive in clean gym clothes.

COMING SOON: Guided floor plan.

Virtual Training

Virtual training has been an enormous success and is here to stay! Whether you feel more comfortable staying home or the studio is not economically feasible right now — we’re here for you!

COMING SOON: More details for virtual training.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
Please Keep Our Community Safe

We are implementing many changes and processes in order to keep us all safe. We all must do our part so the changes and the processes are as effective as possible.

Please make sure to practice social distancing when in close, shared spaces like the washroom or entrance way. Follow the markers placed throughout the studio to maintain a safe distance.

If you have a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or any symptoms of COVID-19, DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIO until you have a negative COVID-19 test.

If you have travelled outside of Canada, DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIO for 14 days.

Any person-to-person contact (handshakes, hugs, high-fives, fist pumps etc.) is not allowed.

In the event there is a a reported case of COVID-19 in the studio, we will notify you immediately. At that point, we will take the necessary precautions to disinfect the studio from top to bottom.

Whether you plan to join us at the studio, or feel more comfortable staying home, we’re here for you. If you have any questions or concerns, let’s chat at info@betterbodiesclub.com.
