It has been reported that three robbers managed to board a Singapore flagged bulk carrier whilst underway East bound in the Phillip channel, Singapore Strait. The Master reported that generator spare parts were stolen and that all crew are safe. The vessel did not require assistance and continued on her passage to Singapore.

This incident is the 54 illegal boarding of this type to occur in the immediate area of the Singapore Strait TSS this year; the fifth robbery to occur in November. In most instances, robbers have been discovered armed with knives, or makeshift/expedient weapons, and in or near the vessels' engine room. All but seven of these incidents occurred while the vessel was underway.
