With thousands of additional tourists expected to head to the city in the coming months, our visitor economy is gearing up to make sure they experience the very best of Liverpool. Colleagues from the Combined Authority, Growth Platform and from the DWP are leading on a recruitment campaign to ensure staffing levels in our leisure and hospitality sector can support the demand. The first Eurovision Recruitment Fair takes place on Wednesday 1 March at ACC Liverpool, and is aimed at those looking for work in the sector, and also employers who want to develop and build their workforce. If you're an employer who wants to get involved, register your interest on Eventbrite.
In the coming weeks we will share more with you about our cultural commissions which will form part of the cultural festival. After receiving more than 600 submissions, the team has narrowed it down to around 20 incredible creative pieces which will be on our streets from the beginning of May.
Details of our schools programme will also be unveiled, as we aim to get children from early years, right through to senior school involved.
