Wind, water and waves - a tempestuous triptych of Baroque composers Antonio Vivaldi, Matthew Locke and Jean-Féry Rebel is represented in these live audio recordings from The SSO’s Baroque Festival in 2016, directed by guest conductor/violinist and well-known period-performance specialist Pavlo Beznosiuk.

Urban Sketchers Penang present their first online exhibition, in conjunction with the 10th year anniversary of this group of artists who meet every week to sketch a different corner of Penang. BAMBOO ORCHID CREATION WORKSHOPS Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th June 4.30pm-6pm

Two more of a series of nine free online workshops by local artists via zoom. One subject, nine media. Learn to create a bamboo orchid with Sharon SS Kow in colour pencil on Saturday 13th, and in layered papercut with ERYN on Sunday 14th. Jazzing it up with Harry’s Saturday 13th June 8.30pm

  • Harry’s bar on Boat Quay spurred the jazz scene in Singapore, and was home to some of the biggest jazz musicians from around the world. The bar has temporarily ceased entertainment, but wants to keep the spirit of jazz alive, so is sponsoring two virtual concerts in partnership with Chivas Regal Singapore, featuring Singapore jazz sensation, ALEMAY FERNANDEZ and friends. ABSOLUTELY COMICAL Sunday 14th June 7pm

Absolutely Comical is a new online show where comedians will be discussing the latest in superhero news.
Hosted by Garu and Watson, two stand-up comedians, the show will feature a series of guest comedians and artists, all of whom are longtime fans of superheroes. The first show is Marvel vs DC! The House of Ideas and their Distinguished Competition is one of the longest running rivalries in all of fandom. Representing the Marvel side is Nik Coppin, a British comedian known for his love of Spider-Man. For DC, will be Matilda from Romania, a comedian who believes Wonder Woman is the best that either publisher has to offer. Guest artist is Kangblabla, a Penang-based toy designer and comic creator.
