Congratulations to the 2020 SASEF Winners!

The 2020 Southern Appalachian Science & Engineering Fair could not happen in person this year due to current social distancing standards. However, that did not damper the efforts of all students, teachers, parents, and judges involved!

Senior Division (Grades 9-12)

Congratulations to the Senior Division winners:

Participate in the April #PREPChallenge

Each month, PREP will feature an interactive social media #PREPChallenge. These challenges encourage K-12 students from across the state of Tennessee to do a hands-on STEM activity. One winner each month will be mailed a PREP “Swag Bag” with goodies inside!

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, PREP challenges you to use recyclable items around the house and #UPCYCLE them into a DIY Recyclable Robot. Use your creativity and skills to make the most Earth-friendly robot.

TJSHS Winners Competing in the Virtual National JSHS

Tennessee Junior Science & Humanities Symposium winners Irene Mamontov, Melody Guo, Srikrishna Darari, Eric Armstrong, and Gideon Torode will be competing in the virtual National Science & Humanities Symposium April 15-17, 2020. STE(A)M Resources for At-Home Learning

The Tennessee Department of Education, in partnership with the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, has released a STE(A)M Resource Hub which includes three weekly at-home challenges for students grades 3-12 to complete during school closures due to COVID-19.

QuestBridge 2020 College Prep Scholars Program

The College Prep Scholars Program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges. The application deadline has been extended to April 21.
