“With everything that’s going on in the world,” says Sophisticated Bling Studio owner Niamma Mayo, “I wanted to create a place that’s light and fun.” 

Mayo's vision for her new business on North Union Street in Kennett Square is to bring people together to enjoy creating. “There’s nothing like seeing another person happy,” she says with a radiant smile.

Even as we savor the memories of the first annual Kennett Summerfest, we're busy making plans for the 25th anniversary Kennett Brewfest on Saturday, October 1st! Follow @kennett.brewfest and watch this space for the on-sale date for tickets sometime in early July. And check out Kennett Brewfest on Facebook for some early news about first-time breweries joining us for this 25th anniversary event and the Connoisseur Session line-up!

In other news brewing in KSQ—Tired Hands Brewing Company is opening a new location here, Victory Brewing Company has announced their KSQ taproom will be re-opening this fall, and Braeloch Brewing and Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen have been collaborating on a "Six Blocks Dry Hopped Pilsner," available now. And a very happy 7th birthday to Kennett Brewing Company!

And one final note—Light: Installations by Bruce Munro will be transforming Longwood Gardens beginning this Thursday, June 30.
