Saturday & Sunday | August 10-11, 2019

Da’African Villagea registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in partnership with Africa Love, present the 2nd Annual A Touch of Africa Las Vegas (ATOALV), a 2-day adventure into African culture. This family-friendly event will feature African dance companies: Olabisi African Dance and Drum EnsembleLe Ballet Dembaya and Thiossane West African Dance Institute.

The event will commence with a celebration of African culture at the Clark County Library Theater on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 6 PM - 11 PM with drum/dance showcases, an African fashion show, a meet & greet welcome reception, a vendor bazaar, awards ceremony and an African after-party at Soul of Afrika Nigerian Restaurant.

This will be followed by a full-day of African dance and drum workshops at the UNLV Department of Dance on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 10 AM - 8 PM. All ages/abilities/experience levels welcome.

Do you or anyone you know love the catwalk?

We are currently looking for volunteer models of all shapes, sizes, ages, and shades for our African Fashion Show at the 2nd Annual A Touch of Africa Las Vegas event this summer. If interested please join us for our Open Model Call next Saturday, June 29 at Africa Love Store (6539 Las Vegas Blvd South, X-114) at 5 p.m.

Join Africa Love & Da'African Village at First Friday in Downtown Las Vegas, on Friday, July 5. We will be selling cultural gift items and hosting our weekly Friday Drum Class there!
