Encinitas Girl Scouts troops are hosting a food drive benefiting St. John’s Food Pantry. 

Help support our neighbors in need by bringing non-perishable food items to Paul Ecke by Nov 16. 

We will have a collection bin outside the office, and the girls will be collecting in the morning before school.

Suggested items:
Canned tuna, chicken, soup, beans, corn, tomato sauce, fruit, oatmeal, pasta, mac-n-cheese, peanut butter, jelly, fruit juice, cooking oil, paper towels and toilet paper.

Gifts of Hope is a partnership between BOOST and Venture Church to offer extra support to some PEC families through the holiday season.

The Club "You Matter" is a group of PEC 5th grade girls wanting to support our community with food donations and raise money and awareness for children's hospitals, animal shelters, and environmental causes.

Our first and current charity is St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

WHAT: Our Scholastic Book Fair

WHEN: December 5th - 9th

Our chickens need volunteers to let them out, help fill their water and food, and lock them at night.

Help revitalize our PEC School Garden! 

We are so lucky to have an amazing outdoor learning center and Garden enrichment program. 

Our large and dynamic school garden takes work to maintain and our Garden Teacher, Mr. Wheeler, would love a helping hand! 

HOW TO HELP:

• Show up to school Mondays from 8-10am
• Get a visitor pass and head to the garden to check in with Mr. Wheeler about what you can do to help!

If you are a Room Garden Parent, this is also a great time to connect with Mr Wheeler and see what resources you can use in the School Garden.

EUSD has partnered with BCK - our environmental consulting support team to Encinitas elementary schools - to host a Halloween candy wrapper collection drive!

“In the US alone, over 600 million pounds of candy is purchased for Halloween each year. The amount of hard-to-recycle trash that's leftover is pretty scary!"

This Halloween celebrate sustainably and collect all of your plastic-based candy and snack food wrappers. Bring them to school and throw them in the Trick or Trash box in the front office.
