Somehow, Father’s Day snuck up on me. Wasn’t it just Mother’s Day? Sigh.

Anyway, belated good wishes to all the fathers and people WITH fathers who read my newsletter! Where would we be without them?

I have TWO amazing fathers in my life: my husband, Paul, and our son, JP. Isn’t this the cutest pic? Like father, like son.

And I was lucky enough to celebrate the day with my most of my family at beautiful Rock Creek (only missing one granddaughter who was celebrating with her father’s family).

I so love this shot of the “littles” hugging their big cousin, Rya.

I’ve shared photos of this tiny oasis in the Sierra National Forest before, but every year—heck, every day—changes in nature. We were treated to carpets of pale purple flowers called: Farewell to Spring (top right), and gorgeous, ephemeral Wild Azaleas (top left), plus it was 100-degrees in Central California, but the weather at 4,500’ was perfect, and the water was refreshing…if you were so inclined to get in. (see video)

PS: In my defense, the water was really, really cold, OK?

Last week’s Q&A was: Have you ever been hacked or had your identity stolen? Y or N?

Alas, the answers to this question were predominantly: YES. It was sad and scary reading about all the ways scammers find to mess with our financial lives, our credit ratings, and our social media presence. A POX on them. Oh, wait, that’s already happening in the world. 😉

My two randomly selected winners this week are:

Jann Forrest – No
and
Gretchen Miller – No

(Jann and Gretchen congrats. Please email me your pick of either a $5 Starbucks or a $5 Amazon gift card.)

Q&A

This week’s Q&A: The Summer Solstice just happened. The longest day of the year. It’s downhill from this point on. Have you started your Christmas shopping? Yes or No?

(Two winners will be chosen by random drawing to receive either a $5 Starbucks gift card or a $5 Amazon gift card. Please reply the usual ways: email or on my DebraSalonenAuthor Facebook page.)

Stay well, my friends!

Happy reading,

Deb

Next week: Our slip bobbers just arrived. Let there be fish…well, fishing, at least.
