Hello
Happy Saturday, how are you doing?
GuruâGuay readers are the best
After spending nine days in Uruguay, Dan wanted to share the adventures he had, thanks to the confidence instilled in him by the GuruâGuay guide books. The stuff of memories of a lifetime. Lovely beaches đ mad classic car races đ and even a psychotherapy session đ˛ at a bargain price.
My 9 days in Uruguay: An intrepid GuruâGuay reader shares
And now for something a bit different
If youâve been following GuruâGuay for a few years, youâll know that I got into promoting Uruguay worldwide while I was running an award-winning guesthouse in the Old City. For the last three years, that former guesthouse has been the happy home of two different families. A couple from the US who loved it because of its wonderful light and location (in the heart of Montevideoâs cultural and foodie scenes) and before them, a British family with two small children who loved its proximity to the rambla (ideal for runners), public transport and the space for receiving frequent friends and family.
Who will be the next lucky renters of this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom gorgeously-furnished art deco apartment when it comes available April 1?

And the 1931 art deco home where we raised our family and lived for the first 20 years of our life in Uruguay in the charming and now very fashionable Parque RodĂł neighbourhood, just five minutes walk from the RĂo de la Plata, is up for sale.
Here's a link to have a look at pictures. If youâre interested, just hit reply. Iâll be delighted to answer all and any questions. To find out more about the neighbourhoods mentioned, click here.
Hope youâre having a wonderful weekend.
