New Online Course: Getting Started with Travel Technology
Traveltech for Scotland will launch a free online course to help tourism and hospitality businesses find and use the right digital technologies.
“Getting Started with Travel Technology” which launches next week, follows the five elements of a traveller’s customer journey: dreaming, planning, booking, experiencing and sharing. It aims to equip businesses with a “traveltech toolbox” including suggested Scottish and international travel technology products and services and how they can be applied against this customer journey. Traveltech Directory Spotlight: New Frontier
New Frontiersupports businesses with opportunities in new technologies such as Blockchain, NFT, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The company has been involved with Blockchain since 2016.
New Frontier can createa solution that mixes new technologies, such as NFTs and Augmented Reality through treasure hunts and discovery, or gamification. It can link tokens to virtual worlds that offer VR experiences, for example. It can tailor a solution that meets client needs.
The company has partners in USA and Singapore and interests in Mexico, Central & South America and Europe, so can easily create collaboration between projects for international campaigns and can run campaigns in multiple languages.

Scottish Enterprise FISS: Funding Information and Support Service: New Funding Viewer
FISS has developed a new interactive funding database viewer which is updated daily. Check it outhere.
The Funding Information & Support Service supports businesses in the SE region to navigate the funding landscape and submit winning funding applications. It does this through providing information and tools to business and public sector organisations alongside hands-on support to Scottish firms. Join Traveltech for Scotland and the Edinburgh Futures Institute on Tuesday 30th November to help us imagine possible futures where travel technology can and should make a difference. This is a hybrid event which will take place in-person at Codebase in Edinburgh, with the event also being streamed online. This event is aimed at technology and travel technology companies and organisations.
Traveltech for Scotland is jointly funded by Scottish Enterprise and the 2014–2020 European Structural and Investment Fund through SPRITE (Scottish Programme for Research, Innovation and Technology Ecosystem) which is a programme to co-fund projects with European Regional Development Funding.
