Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to this week's episode of, "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

Well, folks, we have pretty much approached a year of "quarantine life." Can you believe it? One year ago on this exact day, I was on the sandy shore of a beach in Puerto Rico, which was my last "great escape." My heart and spirit has missed travel so much over this past year...I always think of it as one of my forms of therapy, as well as one of my absolute favorite pastimes...And, being in the midst of beautiful sunrises and sunsets is always the pièce de résistance...

This whole quarantine life has been quite the reflectional experience. A tapping into even deeper thoughts of life, purpose, and everything in between... A full year of literally only seeing one person that I know in real life (that feels and sounds so crazy for me to think about)...Anyway, I will save you from going too far down the corridors of my mind today...

How has your week been? Is there anything you're looking forward to? My job gave us all the day off today in honor of a full year of "work from home" life. I thought that was pretty nice (and will appreciate being able to sleep in a bit longer tomorrow!). I'm also hoping to do some productive things around the house- and also do some apartment hunting (if anyone happens to know of any great affordable roommate free places, PLEASE feel free to share! I'm hoping to move within the next month or so to a spacious place with great natural lighting (plus a few other things...).

Anyway...I hope you have a great day and weekend!

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy

(mentally & physically) out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Aesthete (noun): A person who has or affects to have a special appreciation of art and beauty

  • ADVICE: "If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise..." ~Robert Fritz

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: I didn't really watch anything this past week, but I am looking forward to randomly binging one of my old favorites, "Big Bang Theory," this weekend.

  • KITCHEN CHRONICLES: While I'm not a fan of avocados, I know that many of you all probably are...so, I will share this tip that I found on extending their life cycle by making "avocado cubes":

    🥑STEP 1: Mash Avocados
🥑STEP 2: Fill silicone ice cube tray
    🥑STEP 3: Freeze
🥑STEP 4: Pop out of tray and keep in reusable bag
    🥑STEP 5: Use in smoothies
*They will not go brown, pop out easily, and can be added to cream up any smoothie as a healthy fat!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: You can make flowers last significantly longer by storing them in the refrigerator overnight when you first get them.

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: Canadian figure skater, Elladj Baldé, always has beautiful videos like this that always seem to lift my spirit.

This week's challenge is: Take a step outside of your "comfort zone" and trust in the power and beauty of your purpose.

I am currently on pause with community activations as my current bandwidth is a bit limited with my full-time work projects.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways.
